For two years, we lived near a train track; close enough to hear the whistling noise from the trains. Ty absolutely loved it. He would talk about the trains on our way home and hope we see a train going by on our way home. When he was learning how to count, we would attempt to count the cars as they zoomed by.
The last time we visited, T. was not walking yet. This time, he took off to explore with his brother.
And they were off…
As the kids were playing, we heard the distant chugga chugga sound of a TRAIN. Tramond rushed to the platform with them to see the train up close. The kind conductor pulled the horn and waved at them.
It was perfect because T. loves to wave. And he did. A rather delayed reaction, but he waved at the train.
T. was enthralled by the moving train. We tried and tried to see if I could get a stare at the camera, but he had no interest.
Ty was in “train lover” land. Behaving like a big brother, he started talking to T. about trains and all.
I think I may have another train lover in T.
